The name Ingrid was given by her parents as tribute to the actress and movie star Ingrid Bergman, who was her father's favorite. Ingrid's parents ran a movie theatre in a small city near Parma and Reggio Emilia, an area known as the cradle of Italian music, either classical or modern. Ingrid grew up watching movies and listening to sound tracks which, as herself declares, had a major influence on her decision to become a singer. Movies sparked off Ingrid's imagination and fueled her ambition and desire to convey all her strong emotions to as many people as possible. Ingrid's artistic path started with painting and acting but soon singing turned out to be her most powerful form of expression. She began with piano-bar, musicals and local jazz bands, but soon her soft and unique voice, together with an incredible capacity of interact with audience during her shows, brought her to meet the famous dance music producers Larry Pignagnoli and Marco Soncini. They offered Ingrid to write the lyrics and sing their brand new tune, and soon "Tu es foutu" came to life. The track broke all records of airplay on Italian networks and immediately became an international hit. Degree cum laude in pnilosophy. |

19:00 | Karl Bartos (ex-Kraftwerk, Germany) |
Hardly any other name in pop music is as synonymous with electronic sound as that of Karl Bartos. Originally a classically trained percussionist and keyboarder, he later became a composing member of the legendary German group Kraftwerk. He took part in creating some of modern music's most influential classics like: "Radio-Activity", "Trans Europe Express", "The Man Machine", "Computer World", "Tour de France", "Techno Pop" and "The Mix"; thus, altering our perception of sound. By using film and video, even before the arrival of MTV and it's subsequent transformation of the music business, Kraftwerk had a great influence on forming the language of contemporary art, especially media art. Bartos' contribution to the music of the electronic pioneers is substantiel, and he has played a significant role in the group's success. His consistent exploration of electronic sound has, without doubt, had a major impact on the way modern music has evolved, and has distinguished him as a cultural maverick. After having left the band, Bartos' activities as an author and producer lead to globally successful co-operations with Electronic (Bernard Sumner / Johnny Marr), OMD (Andy McCluskey), Information Society (USA), The Mobile Homes (Sweden), and Anthony Rother (Germany), as well as making records for his own project entitled: Electric Music. Together with other illustrious names, including Bjork, Malcolm McLaren, Courtney Love, Yoko Ono, Kanye West, and Grace Jones, Karl Bartos was invited in 2007 to collaborate on an issue of the prestigious art & fashion publication Visionaire: Bartos called his composition "The Binary Code". In March 2013 Bartos released his new album which has been well acclaimed internationally. During his entire career Karl Bartos has played international concerts and tours including Europe, Scandinavia, UK, Russia, USA, South America, and Asia. But for Bartos, music alone has never been enough! |

19:00 | Marcus Miller (USA) |

An album entitled Renaissance is long overdue for the widely acclaimed Renaissance Man Marcus Miller. In among the most enviable careers in music, Miller is a two-time Grammy-winner and the composer/producer of ten critically acclaimed and genre-defying albums (seven studio and three live). Even the most devoted follower may be astonished to realize that Renaissance is only his eighth studio project since his 1983 debut, Suddenly, considering the abundance of occasions Miller's name has appeared within album credits and that he has dazzled with performances, compositions and productions - in the company of some of the world's most respected and accomplished players and superstars - from the mid-'70s to the present. As a multi-instrumentalist, Marcus is highly proficient as a keyboardist, clarinetist/bass clarinetist and, primarily, as a world-renowned electric bassist, topping critics' and readers' polls for three decades. His résumé as an A-list player brims with over 500 recording credits as a sideman on albums across the spectrum of musical styles: rock (Donald Fagen and Eric Clapton), jazz (George Benson, Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Sample, Wayne Shorter and Grover Washington, Jr.), pop (Roberta Flack, Paul Simon and Mariah Carey), R&B (Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan), hip hop (Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg), blues (Z.Z. Hill), new wave (Billy Idol), smooth jazz (Al Jarreau and Dave Koz) and opera (collaborations with tenor Kenn Hicks and soprano Kathleen Battle). As a film music pro, Miller rose from writing the go-go party classic "Da Butt" for Spike Lee's "School Daze" to becoming the go-to composer for 20+ films (from the documentary "1 Love" to the animated children's fable "The Trumpet and The Swan" to the Eddie Murphy/Halle Berry classic "Boomerang"). As a producer, writer and player, he was the last primary collaborator of jazz legend Miles Davis, contributing the composition and album "Tutu" to the canon of contemporary jazz music. The breadth of his collaborative talents were best showcased in his work with the late, great soul man Luther Vandross, contributing to well over half of his albums as a producer, composer and/or player on a string of hits capped by "Power of Love/Love Power" for which Marcus won his first Grammy, 1991's R&B Song of the Year. Style, soul and intense professionalism have set Marcus Miller at the top of his game for three decades now. MMDM Svetlanov Hall |

Moscow State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pavel Kogan presents a program of an Italian Respighi's compositions. The concert will be dedicated to 70th anniversary of the orchestra. Ottorino Respighi was an Italian composer, musicologist and conductor. He is best known for his orchestral music, particularly the three Roman tone poems: Fountains of Rome (Le fontane di Roma), Pines of Rome (I pini di Roma), and Roman Festivals (Feste romane). His musicological interest in 16th-, 17th- and 18th-century music led him to compose pieces based on the music of these periods. He also wrote a number of operas, the most famous of which is La fiamma. The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1943, has been acclaimed as one of the greatest orchestras from a cultural tradition rich with extraordinary symphonic ensembles. Since Pavel Kogan assumed the positions of Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra in 1989, the orchestra has steadily expanded its repertoire beyond the classics of Russian and Western symphonic literature to include contemporary compositions from both Russia and abroad. The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra also performs regularly at major Russian and European festivals including the Moscow Autumn Festival, the Russian Winter Festival, St. Petersburg White Nights, the Moscow Stars Festival, Prague Spring, and festivals in Helsinki, Dubrovnik, Munich, Flanders, Saint-Requier, and elsewhere. The festival is traditionally organized by the Cultural and Charitable Foundation U-Art: You and Art, and UNIDENT Group. Previous festivals have proved that VivaCello is of great interest for the Moscow audience. From year to year these concerts are attended by an increasing number of spectators. The Art-Director of the festival, cellist Boris Andrianov manages to create an original and invariably surprising program without going beyond the seemingly narrow frameworks of the festival. This year the autumn cello festival the Moscow audience has already seen several times is ready to surprise again. The list of the celebrities includes Giovanni Sollima, David Geringas, Gianluca Marciano, Alexander Rudin. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall |
