I'd say the Palins were a lot more actively involved with Joe Vogler of the Alaska Independence Party than Obama was with the Weather Underground. They were older than 8, anyhow.

Just goes to show how screwed-up Chicago is then, when a known terrorist is accepted as part of "normal" society.

Ayers, a former member of the Weather Underground said in an interview published on Sept. 11, 2001, that he didn't regret bombing government buildings. And, "I feel we didn't do enough."

This is the sort of person that would be "ok to hang out with?"

Obama's diapers are so full it's not funny. Has anyone bothered to check out his Kenyan connections? Obama’s cousin, Raula Odinga, who Obama was campaining for, promised to convert Kenya into a Muslim state complete with Sharia Law, when he wins the Kenyan presidency.
When Odinga lost, he sent his supporters out to protest and they when on a murderous rampage setting fire to a church burning mostly women and kids hiding in there. Obama is either very stupid and naive or calculated or all of the above. Either way, a poor choice!

I concede your point. I too an now gravely concerned that Obama will imprison without trial everyone in America who does not convert to the Muslim Faith. This is a real threat!! BE AFRAID!!

But I vote for the elderly and doddering Mr. McCain with some trepidation. I heard that McCain's wife Cindy has this cousin over in Belgium? And the cousin got divorced and then went on this drunk driving spree and got put in jail? So then Cindy had to send over money for bail, which is their marital property. So indirectly John bailed out this drunk, see, and then the cousin lost his job at dockyard where he worked, so then they had to send more money.

Also, I heard the McCain's once got a copy of the New Yorker in the mail that was meant for a neighbor? That's a liberal rag, you know. But they didn't throw it out right away.

All this it totally relevant to the issues. I am wondering that if I vote for McCain, he might be a closet liberal who will totally relax the drunk driving laws. Or maybe that errant New Yorker (which included an essay on smoking by that flithy sodomite David Sedaris) might have influenced him in some way.

All this is keeping me awake at night, and the only remedy for this is for my mind to wander in the dark to Sarah Palin and my hand to wander under my waistband towards .. Opps, I digress.

In any case, thanks for posting a picture of That One with a megaphone in his hand. I am converted now. Shout Glory!

Kirk, was the David Sedaris piece his account of quitting smoking in Tokyo ("The Smoking Section")? That's about the funniest thing I've read all year, particulary the episode where he returns home to his boyfriend, full of brio, having beaten a Down's Syndrome woman over a lap of the swimming pool. Here's an extract:

"At the pool I currently go to, one of the regulars is a woman with Down Syndrome. She's fairly heavy and wears an old-fashioned swimsuit, the sort with the ruffled skirt. Then there's this bathing cap that straps beneath her chin and is decorated with rubber flowers. Odd is the great satisfaction I take whenever I beat her from one end to the other. 'I won three out of four', I told Hugh the first time she and I swam together. 'I mean I really creamed her'.
'Let me get this straight', he said. 'She's obese. She's as old as you are. And she has Down Syndrome?'
'Yes, and I beat her. Isn't that great!'
'Did she even know you were having a race?'
I hate it when he gets like this. Anything to burst my bubble. I no longer tell him about the old people I defeat."
