Meet in a coffee shop to play chess

I work as a teacher here in Moscow and often have time in the middle of the day between classes. I teach in Paveletskaya and don't always have time to go home inbetween lessons. If anyone is interested in meeting in a coffee shop to play chess and have a chat in English send me a PM.

Thanks

Looking forward to it already.

So you're back in Moscow now?

Just to reiterate I want to meet to play chess and have a chat. I'm not offering free lessons or anything.

Of course we're interested in night games Max and your Chess club.

U and me have a game coming up soon Max. We both know it. This during the day thing is just something to pass time, friendlies. Our game together Max is war. Prepare well!

To PJW:
What colors would you like to play for our first game?

To MISTYGRIS:
We still have not found a permanent place for our "club", but I will drop you a line the next time we decide to play anyways.

Just out of curiosity where do you intend to play?
I mean I know it's next to Paveletskaya, but what's the exact place?

Chess club

Hi everybody!

Some days ago I was in the small quiet cafe called VITA. No other guests were there. But I was there within winter holidays. It is located near Pushkinskaya/Tverskaya metro station. Menu prices are acceptable.

Also there is Buddies cafe with almost the same location - Buddies Café • Moscow, Russia

I would like to join your chess club!

BR,
Dmitry.

BR,

Picking out a place can be tricky. Foremost the staff should accept us playing chess at the cafe all evening long - we occupy several tables and we don't order so much food and drinks during the evening, just some snack beforehand. Other things to consider: the place must be well illuminated (you'll go blind after few hours of game in a shaded room), snack should be reasonably priced (we аre no millionaires here), the place must be a walking distance from a subway station (better be in city centre).

Last year we chose food court in a mall - Erevan plaza on Tulskaya. It was perfect, but unfortunately we were asked to leave the place.

Too bad not many places in Moscow do fit this description. If you find one, please let us know, we may try it.
BTW: I know Buddies, occasionally I go to watch sports there.

Cheers,

You could try Pivo Vodi over by Sukharevskaya where we do the Anglo Russian Theater on Sunday nights. The manager is very receptive to expats . . . wants to encourage our business. They have sports TV at times, too.

U choose, it's your home game! It's your kickoff Max, plus I don't care black or white. U sound a bit scared, don't worry, it's only chess, I won't charge U for your lessons Max.
