Welcome to the new Marketplace area!
Although we have done our best to make sure this software is as stable as possible, regular daily use may very well reveal a small problem or two as time goes on. Please help us to keep things running smoothly by reporting any problems you may have in your use of it. If you have any questions about how something works, please don't hesitate to post them in this help forum. You are also welcome to post suggestions for sub-forums or main categories, or anything else constructive which may occur to you. Enjoy :-) ---------------Posting Rules--------------- note: There is now a minimum requirement of 5 posts before being able to post in the marketplace area - please see this thread for details. 1. State the currency your transaction is using - if none is specified it will be assumed it is RUBLES 2. No commercial advertising without prior permission from expat.ru. Ads that break this rule will be deleted. To clarify, if you are an individual and have something you wish to sell or a service to promote, that is fine - if you are posting on behalf of a company or commercial enterprise, then you need prior permission or your post will be deleted. 3. Real Estate companies and Employment Agencies may post one (1) new listing each week without special permission, otherwise please contact sales@expat.ru to discuss multiple listings. 4. If you post photos with your ad, they should not be larger than 50k each. 5. Do NOT post any personal information in your ad. This means email, phone numbers, addresses, links. Please use the PM system for communicating. Any ads not adhering to this rule will be deleted immediately. 6. You must have a total of 5 posts made anywhere in the forums in order to post ads in the marketplace. Ads themselves do not count as posts. -------------How to post an ad------------- 1. First, either click on the "New Thread" button in any forum in the Marketplace section or go to the main Marketplace page. The link is in the navigation bar between "Calendar" and "Chat". 2. Once you are on the main Marketplace page, click on the "Submit New Ad" link.  3. Select a category from the drop down list, and then an ad type. 4. Fill in the details of your ad and when you are ready, click on the "Submit New Ad" button at the bottom of the page. Please note that you can choose to allow comments on your ads or not - the default is set to no comments. 5. The Marketplace is for ads only - if you wish to post information about something, or discuss/debate some issue, do so on the main forums. Any post which breaks this rule will be instantly deleted. 6. The next page will give you the option of uploading additional photos for your ad, and choosing which one to use as the default. Once you are done, click on the "Click Here to View Your Listing" button. 7. Still unsure? Why not create a few "test" ads? When creating your test ad, select the Category "Just Testing" and your ad will automatically be listed in the Practice Ads forum.
