 The Kuban Cossack Choir is the oldest and the largest national Cossack collective in Russia. It is the only professional ensemble of folk art in Russia with uninterrupted continuity of history since the beginning of the XIX century. For comparison: the next oldest national collective in chronology of creation - the State Academic Russian Folk Choir named after M.Pyatnitsky - showed its first concert in the year of the Kuban Cossack Choir's centenary. The skill level of the Kuban Cossack Choir's vocalists and dancers is recognised throughout the world, as evidenced by the Choir's numerous invitations to foreign and Russian tours, packed halls and the rave reviews of the press. The repertoire of the Kuban Cossack Choir includes songs from different eras. They reflect the military and cultural exploration of Kuban, the biography of the Kuban Cossack Army, and the secular and spiritual culture of Ekaterinodar. In these songs have found reflection both tragical events of Civil war, and persecutions on Cossacks and reprisals of 30th of the last century, and Soviet aesthetics of "the big style" in national art. The choir in its songs and vocal and choreographic compositions acquaints all new generations of the audience with the fate of individual personalities, the daily musical culture of Kuban, as well as with the historical heroics, the great drama of the Cossacks as a whole. In a certain sense, the Kuban Cossack Choir is a historical monument, capturing the events of two centuries of history in the forms of music and singing culture.

 A new edition of Sound Up Forte will be dedicated to modern piano art and musical innovations. The program of the project was defined by the industrial space of the Zotov Center, an architectural monument of the era of constructivism. The two-part Sound Up Forte will demonstrate just how diverse the contemporary piano repertoire is. The first concert will be opened by composer and pianist Riad Mammadov, who is developing an original style of jazz mugam. The audience will be able to appreciate the composer's new works at the junction of the European and Eastern traditions. Pianists Maria Sadurdinova and Ulyana Lovchikova, well-known to music lovers in the capital, will take over the West. On two grand pianos they will perform works by the fathers of minimalism, Philip Glass and Simeon ten Holt, the diva of the New York underground, Meredith Monk, and America's most frequently performed composer, David Lang. The second concert features futuristic experiments by Soviet avant-gardists, from Alexander Mosolov to Dmitri Shostakovich, performed by Mikhail Dubov, soloist of the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble. The roar of constructivist machines and the noise of the rails will pacify the music of utopian beauty from the American continent. The duo Sadurdinova and Lovchikova interpret the piece for two pianos by John Adams and Russian premieres by David Lang, Meredith Monk, and Bryce Dessner.
