Central House of Artists
The aim of the new project by Marat Gellman is to state the existence of another Russia within the geographical borders of the present Russian Federation.
This other Russia is thought by the artists to be more democratic, international, dynamic and asserting the rights of creative people on standing up for their personal positions. Gellman and his associates want to enlarge the list of Russia’s state values – to add something else besides patriotism and immateriality.
The exposition at the Central House of Artists (halls 22-27) is divided into three thematic parts: Utopia (Koshlyarovsky, Brodsky), Reflection (Kulic, Vinogradov, Dubossarsky) and Ignorance (Gutov, Alimpiev). Read more
