Question:
I need to extend my 6 month business visa for another 6 months, i attained it through a friend not a company, and my friend says for him to do it I will need another invitation for $90 usd and then leave the country and get a new visa, we are talking hundreds of dollars now. Is there an easy cheap way to do it, what does it entail and how much will it cost?

Answer:
The procedure of obtaining Russian multiple-visa is a little bit complicated, so Your friend is right. Unfortunately it is not possible to extend 6 months business visa for another 6 months, (only for a couple of weeks). To get a new visa You should order a new invitation (the standard time of issuing such invitation is 18 working days). As soon as You have this invitation (original), You can apply to Russian consulate abroad for a new visa. If you do not want to travel too far then, for example, you can go to Tallinn, it won't be so expensive and besides Tallinn is a very beautiful city.
You can order all of that services via ATH, so please don't hesitate to contact us.
