Question:
We are considering hiring a nannie who I believe would be a great fit for our family. However, she has an Uzbek passport and is living here in Russia. She won't be able to get her Russian passport until next year. We would like her to travel with us on occassion for long trips with the family abroad. Will the fact that she has an Uzbekistan passport going to be a problem for traveling out of and in to Russia? Other countries? What process will I need to make this happen? |

Dear Jeff,
Citizens of Uzbekistan don't need a visa to travel into Russia, but she must obtain migration card on entry and register at the local PVO. Also she will need visas for most of countries (same as Russian citizens)and if she applies for visas in Moscow she will require to have at least 6 month registration. |
