Question:
I'm Swedish and have a multi-entry business visa. When I renewed my registration 2 days ago the registration stamp was placed on my migration card and not in my passport as usual. They told me it was a new rule from 01.01.04. When I leave Russia I will have to give away the migration card - and thus I will need to register once again. This can't be?! |

Dear Nick,
The rules have been really changed and now the registration stamp is placed on the migration card. Every time you leave the country and enter it again you should register your visa. This rule was issued in order to keep under control the number of entries of foreign citizens and reduce the number of illegal immigrants. |
